Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education Appoints New Vice Chair and Welcomes New Board Members

March 23, 2023 – The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education is excited to announce its newest officers and board members. Lisa J. Smith, Senior Vice President of Region External Affairs and Community Engagement of Georgia Power Company, has assumed the role of vice chair.

New additions to the board include Kathy Clemons, Global Head of Talent Development for BlackRock and the Head of HR for the Atlanta Innovation Hub; Clint Dixon, Chair, Education & Youth Committee, Georgia Senate; Chris Erwin, Chair, Education Committee, Georgia House of Representatives; Katie Kirkpatrick, President and CEO, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce; and Nick Slappy Vice President, Safety and Resource Management, Southern Company Gas.
