Georgia Partnership Has Good Media Week

Dear Colleague:

I would like to call your attention to several media reports over the past few days that were either authored by members of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education team or included a comment from a team member:

James Magazine: – The latest edition includes an article written by Policy and Research Director, Dana Rickman:  ESSA: Offering Our Chance to Be Bold in Education (page 14).

Atlanta Journal-Constitution:  The newspaper invited the Georgia Partnership to submit an Op-Ed piece for their Sunday, July 31 editorial page on what is needed to move the state forward in public education.  Project Associate, Caitlin Daugherty, obliged with her Multifaceted Solutions Needed to Keep Raising Expectations.

Dana was also quoted in two stories after the release of the state’s 2016 Milestones test results.  First, WABE-Radio’s Martha Dalton filed this story:  2016 Georgia Milestones Results Show Modest Improvements.  The AJC’s Ty Tagami included Dana in his Georgia Students Show Gains on Milestones Tests (you might need a subscription to read this article).

“Informing and influencing… for the improvement of student achievement” is the cornerstone of our time-tested mission.  We always welcome media interest in both our work and expertise.

Thank you for your support.
