Community Engagement

Helping communities build strong education and talent pipelines

Overview

A core and unique competency of the Partnership is our ability to convene, connect and communicate to diverse groups of statewide stakeholders to strategically advocate for policies and practices to improve student outcomes in Georgia. We are skilled at working to support local communities across Georgia improve the educational outcomes of their students and enhance the capacity of community leaders looking to leverage their resources to achieve shared goals. Through a number of community-focused programs and initiatives, we've made a powerful impact throughout the state, and established ourselves as valued, trusted and non-partisan resource to a wide array of stakeholders – policymakers, media, educators, business, philanthropic and community leaders, advocates, and parents.

These programs include but are not limited to Asset Mapping and Regional Summits. Through Asset Mapping, the Partnership works with local community leaders to identify strengths, assets, cracks, and gaps in their educational pipeline, while also serving as a conduit in connecting them to each other to share resources and connecting them to other agencies or communities to support their work. Similarly, through our Regional Summits, we engage Georgia leaders around a combination of local academic, economic, and community well-being data and help them identify strategies for breaking the poverty cycle, insulating the birth-to-work pipeline, and creating sustainable economic success.
